It's Winter in the Adirondacks!

The Adirondacks have received about 40 inches of Snow in the month of January alone! This is great news for all of our winter activities!

The Southern Warren County Snowmobile Association says their trails are fully open! They maintain over 100 miles of groomed trails in Southern Warren County. The extensive trial network connects the towns of Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Queensbury, Warrensburg and Glens Falls. This year there is a new trail that connects Warren and Washington County. There is even a trail that will bring you right to the ski slopes!

Speaking of Ski Slopes.... the Lake George Region is home to 3 ski areas! West Mountain Ski Area, Hickory Ski Area and Gore Mountain! All three are with in a 30 minute drive! These areas offer over 745 ski-able acres and a variety of winter activities such as: Skiing, tubing, Snow Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing and Apres Ski. For a day trip, head to Whiteface Mountain near the town of Lake Placid.

The Lakes are frozen which makes the popular sport of Ice Fishing possible and don't forget about our Lake George Winter Carnival celebrating it's 50th anniversary, which kicks off every weekend in February.

If you need schedules, ski or trail conditions and information on lodging, dining, attractions, or winter activities, please contact our office at 518-668-5755. We're happy to help make your visit to the Lake George Region a wonderful experience!
