Winter Marches on in the Lake George Region!

The Lake George Region has received over 70" of snow so far this Winter and we are expecting more later this week! With above average snow fall totals this year, our winter activities are all in full swing!

Ice Fishing is a popular winter activity throughout much of the Lake George Region. Most of the fish sought during the summer are still waiting to be caught beneath the winter's ice. Remember that a license is required to fish and can be purchased at a variety of local businesses. Ice conditions can change daily! Know your conditions and most of all, be safe out there!

Remember, the Lake George Region is home to 3 ski areas! West Mountain Ski Area, Hickory Ski Area and Gore Mountain offering over 745 skiable acres and a variety of winter activities such as: Skiing, Tubing, Show Shoeing, Cross Country Skiing and Apres Ski. For a day trip, head to Whiteface Mountain near Olympic Lake Placid!

Our Snowmobile Trails are in full operation too! Over 100 miles of groomed trails are maintained by the Southern Warren County Snowmobile Association, who says the groomers are running daily and all trails are open! They encourage everyone to ride safe and responsibly!

If you need trail conditions and information on lodging, dining, attractions, or winter activities, please contact our office at 518-668-5755. We're happy to help make your visit to the Lake George Region a wonderful experience!
