Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower.

Albert Camus

Fall foliage season is here! Fall is a beautiful time of year to be in the Lake George Region! It is a great time to hike, bike or go for a drive to experience first hand those gorgeous colors. It is also the season for crisp, cool days and brilliant sunshine!

Why not take a scenic lake cruise on one of the ever popular cruise boats of the Lake George Shoreline Cruises or the Lake George Steamboat Company. They offer wonderful lunch cruises allowing you to enjoy the lake at a leisurely pace or perhaps you have time to squeeze in a one hour cruise. Both are available until the end of October!

Kayaking or canoeing on Lake George is another great way to leaf peep and explore our great outdoors!

It's thrills by day and fright by night at the The Six Flags Great Escape as they hold their annual Fright Fest every weekend in October. It's Terror at every Turn with more Ghosts, more Ghouls, more Fright than ever before!

Don't forget to check out some of the restaurants that stay open year round in the Lake George Region. There is a variety to choose from. And shopping is always an option.... with the factory outlets of Lake George offering a nearly 70 stores within walking distance. Stop in on your way home to load up on quality apparel or home decor!

Remember... if you need information on lodging, dining, attractions or activities, please contact our office at 518-668-5755. We're happy to help make your visit to the Lake George Region a wonderful experience!
